Message I just replaced my stock precats with down pipes. For a noob like me, it was difficult removing the precats.
Needed to remove the brake master cylinder to get to the top two bolts on the driver's side. And there is so little space to remove the lower nuts. It was a PITA. I used a short 1/2" wrench.
Needed to take the battery off for the passenger side precat. I had more room to get the top two bolts since I did the top clutch bleed point delete thanks to Robo's write-up. Bottom nuts were not that difficult to remove.
After removing the precats, installation of the downpipes was easy becase there's much more room for the installation.
Thanks TT.Net members!
BTW...I installed JWT boost jets but when removing the OEM boost jets, only the driver side had an OEM boost jet in the hose and not the passenger side. I didn't notice any issues with boost before so are the boost jets necessary?
